J. Rieger Double Bass

€ 16.300,00

Bearing a restoration signature from 1912, this bass has survived quite some turmoil in Europe. Built in Mittenwald in 1905 by the Rieger family, this is quite the beast. Characterized by it's Busseto-style contour and lion-head, the look is quite captivating. It has period-correct hand-made tuners and is fully restored and stable.

This is the kind of bass that begs to be converted to a 5-stringer, but works lovely as a 4-stringer too, both in gut-strung as modern set-up!
