3/4 Four-string Double Bass Jacquet-Gand
€ 25.500,00
A great four-stringer, built and signed in 1885 Vosges, by the Jacquet Gand workshop. This bass started its life as a three-stringer, with the traces of its original configuration still visible. It has been restored in 1944 by Harry R. Young U.K., as well as by Rene Zaal in 2018. The instrument shows a slight overvarnish, a lovely contour and an arching in great condition. The bassbar has been modernized to suit modern stringtension, and the neck angle has been altered for the same purpose. The instrument has currently an Eb-heel, which can be effectively adapted to a D-stop if needed. Original soundpostbrace, ebony tailpiece, lovely French tuners, sFlexocore Deluxe strings and a At. BDM Luxus Bridge, with a stringlength of 105.5 cm
